RESOLUTION ADOPTING
OPEN SPACE PLAN II RECOMMENDATION,
AN AMENDMENT TO THE ORIGINAL
 CAMPTON TOWNSHIP OPEN SPACE PLAN
OF NOVEMBER 14, 2000

 

A RESOLUTION providing that the Town Board of Campton Township adopts the Open Space Plan II Recommendation, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000.

            WHEREAS, a proposed Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000 was prepared, filed with the Campton Township Clerk;

            WHEREAS, the Campton Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000 is to preserve and protect the semi-rural character of Campton Township; and this Plan describes an Open Space Program to acquire open land for passive and active recreational purposes, and for the protection of farmland, historic landmarks, scenic roadways, wetland, woodlands, wild life and geologically significant features.

            WHEREAS, the Town Board caused a notice of the public hearing, setting the hearing date as November 4, 2004, the hour of 7:30 p.m., and November 9, 2004, at 7:00 p.m., the location of Campton Township Community Center, 5N082 Old LaFox Road, St. Charles, Illinois and the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the proposed Campton   Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000.  The Township Clerk caused the notice to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Township not less than 15 nor more than 30 days before the date of the hearing.

            WHEREAS, the Town Clerk also sent notice of the hearing by registered mail, return receipt requested, not less than 20 days before the hearing to the owners of property being recommended for acquisition and designation as open space or open land under the proposed Campton Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000.

            WHEREAS, after publication of notice of the public hearing, the town Clerk made a copy of the proposed Campton Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000, available to the general public for inspection.

            WHEREAS, the November 9, 2004 public hearing was a validly held meeting of the Town Board, and at such public hearing, all persons present were given the opportunity to provide comments, written or oral, regarding the Campton Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000.

            WHEREAS, on November 9, 2004, the Town Board considered all the evidence before it, and based upon that evidence has recommended adoption of the Campton Township Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000 with Revisions as stated in the Open Space Plan II, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000.

            NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of Campton hereby adopts the Open Space Plan II Recommendation, an Amendment to Original Open Space Plan of November 14, 2000 of the Campton Town Board, passed this 9^th day of November 2004.
