Campton Highway Commissioner Receives Award

"Field Dedicated to Sam Gallucci in recognition of 15 years service as
President of the Wasco American Legion Baseball League"

So read the plaque presented to Campton Township Highway Commissioner Sam Gallucci at the annual Campton Township Board meeting held on April 3, 2003.

The plaque represented the time and commitment that Sam Gallucci rendered to
the Wasco Baseball League, as President, from 1987 to 2002. Mr. Gallucci
helped develop the league from 43 players in 1987 to over 2,000 players when
he left office, 15 years later.

Presenting the plaque was Joe Garbarski, former Campton trustee, dedicating
the baseball field at the Community Center, formally the American Legion
Building.

In May 2003, a permanent plaque was placed at the baseball field honoring Wasco Baseball's former president.
