USGS Study on Campton Township Water Resources Completed

Campton is First Township in Nation to Perform Study of this Type

With concerns about water supplies being over-burdened by growth throughout Kane County, Campton Township's Board of Trustees has taken the proactive step of commissioning and its own water resources study. The USGS Campton Water Resources Study is now completed.

In collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey, wells and water sources throughout our Township have been measured and analyzed. The USGS has informed Township officials that Campton is the first township in the nation to initiate a comprehensive water study of this kind.

Results of the water resources study will be used by the Campton Township Board and the Township's Planning Commission in managing growth and water resource issues. We thank the many people involved

with this important project, which will provide vital information for charting our community's future.
